All That Chas |

We open with an establishing
shot of Los Angeles at night. In the competitive world of LA
theatre we find Chas, his hip-waders on, knee-deep in the mainstream
of the industry, having performed with The Attic Theatre Ensemble,
a venerated company of writers, actors, directors and producers,
the comedy improv troupe Slow, Children At Play, and Vox Humana
Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Chas has also performed
with Write Act Repertory Theater Company in their production
of "A Company Of Wayward Saints", and
in the world premiere production of "How Katrina Plays." Chas has had the honor of playing Ebeneezer Scrooge in the musical production Bob Cratchet and Mr. Tightwad, and most recently as Andrew Borden in The Lizzy Borden Musical.
Chas is looking forward to playing the POW in the upcoming January 2019 production of The POW And The Girl at the Sherry Theatre in North Hollywood, California

From his humble beginnings in New York there was little doubt
that Chas was destined to be an actor and entertainer, but Chas'
route to near fame was to be a circuitous one. As a child, his
"impressions" of John Kennedy and other notables wowed
his neighbors on suburban Long Island. Chas' parents were so
proud.
Chas brought his family to Los Angeles at age eleven, knowing
this was the place to be. At fifteen, Chas was elected president
of The Young Sorcerers Association, a club for young performing
magicians in Hollywood. His first legitimate training ground
in acting was at the prestigious theatre department of Los Angeles
City College (or as the students lovingly referred to it: The
University of Vermont, at Melrose). Chas also began his career
in radio at this point, as the DJ of a local FM rock 'n' roll
show. Several theatrical projects, both in and out of the collegiate
setting, followed.
Understanding that all life experience is grist for the actor's
mill Chas' profound interest in the human condition prompted
him to consider further studies, specifically philosophy and
psychology. Armed with the knowledge that pursuing the former
would prepare him only for roles based on characters selling
bathroom products at K-Mart and doubting his own existence, he
chose the latter. While he continued attending acting classes,
theatrical scene-study workshops, and training dutifully as a
voice-over artist, years of study culminated in the acquisition
of a Ph.D. degree in clinical psychology. Now a prominent Southern
California "shrink," Chas has hosted several psychology
call-in radio programs in the LA market, as well as an Internet
(audio and video) webcast.
As an actor, improvisational comedian, voice-over artist,
radio personality and technical advisor, it is clear that Chas
lives by his favorite saying:
"If you always do what you've always done, you'll always
get what you've always got."
